What is the Dragon Lineage?

The Dragon Lineage is a path of self-mastery and spiritual discovery. It focuses on helping everyone that walks it to develop a healthy, strong, and confident relationship with one’s own body, other people, and nature itself.

What does the Dragon Lineage mean?

THE DRAGON LINEAGE MEANS THAT WHICH LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH RESPECT OF THE PAST

The Dragon Lineage is the name that has been chosen to frame the complete set of activities found herein, whether it is to read, to practice or to join anything. This name has been chosen thanks to a simple recognition.

A lineage is a consecutive transmission that has survived and can be attested to. The Dragon Lineage is called a lineage because its practices have either been inherited or revealed, and whose transmission to others is a vital part of its survival – as is our survival part of its transmission.

The Dragon is recognized as one of the oldest myths of Antiquity. The Dragon Lineage borrows its name because it marks the birth of a tradition that seeks to integrate the wisdom of the Ancients to the readjustment of a society that can maintain its spirit in the face of modernity.

What is the Dragon?

THE DRAGON IS A METAPHOR FOR THE FORCE OF NATURE TO WHICH WE ADAPT

The Dragon is a myth, a metaphor, a fable and an allegory for the force of Nature – that which we seek to live by, and in. Although every person has this force living inside them, nobody is the Dragon. However, the Dragon can be invoked by a net of mystics who are in tune with the guiding force of evolution.

The Dragon Lineage is interested in continuity – the continuity, not only of spiritual practices, but the continuity of the gift of living spiritual lives. However, this does not imply, in any sense, the somersaults of metaphysics or the transcendentalisms of religion.

For us it is already divine to accept, adapt and survive, which is the foremost most human necessity. To do this we do not need implausible beliefs or unprovable possibilities, but to admire and rest in wonder of what exists already,: our body, our community, and Nature.

What is the Dragon Lineage interested in?

The Dragon Lineage is a program of self-liberation. In the deepest sense of the phrase, self-liberation speaks of freedom from the sense of self. We seek not to be empowered by any external source, but rather, to be unrestrained in the expression of our own being.

WE ARE INTERESTED IN THE EVOLUTION OF HUMANITY THROUGH HEALING

Selfhood is the separateness that haunts our mind which, when ignored, fuels violence and arrogance; and when accepted unchallenged, spirals one into sorrow and solitude. To merge our own self with that of Nature’s has been identified as the means of the ultimate liberation.

To empower people to recognize themselves as tools for Nature’s own self-actualization – its evolving capacity – is our main purpose. All true evolution comes from individuals that are better adapted, who in turn teach others to be so. Adaptation and evolution, for us, mean nothing but health and healing.

Is the Dragon Lineage part of a Movement?

To release people from the duality of control and attachment is not only the measure of success of the Dragon Lineage but also that of many other paths, both ancient and novel. All spiritual paths of the world have sought to liberate man from such illusions of duality, fastened by the grip of selfhood.

WE ARE PART OF A MOVEMENT TOWARDS THE AWAKENING OF HUMANKIND

Therefore, the Dragon Lineage is not alone in its endeavor. It aligns itself with all doctrines of self-mastery that purport to help humanity in its evolution. Since the evolution of humanity happens through the change in our ideals, as attested by history, we recognize our aspirations as those of a movement.

To change the ideals of humanity from those of self-preservation to the interdependence of all its parts is the outer form of the movement. Conceiving this movement as possible, we call it the Dragon Awakening – the new dawn of collective awareness that might grip the consciousness of humankind.

What is the Dragon Awakening?

For any society to remain healthy it must be in constant change. It must adapt to ever new circumstances. It is to change – yet it cannot change itself. In the past, those who provoked the change in society were called kings, priests, saints, gurus, prophets and messiahs.

THE DRAGON AWAKENING IS THE GLOBAL REALIZATION THAT WE DO NOT NEED TO WAIT FOR A SAVIOR

In this Aeon, however, we are to heal ourselves and all humanity from the dependence on savior figures. The Dragon Awakening cannot happen due to the power or majesty of one person, but thanks to the alignment of many consciousnesses as one. Therefore, waiting for a savior is ill-advised.

Humanity has fallen repeatedly into the claws of corruptible leaders who promised much and did nothing. One must ask oneself whether this aspiration to be saved did not, in fact, enslave us. Such is why the Dragon Lineage is based on a deep egalitarian conception, in which we triumph together or not at all.

Can a Movement be leaderless?

There is nothing like a leaderless movement; but, when the leader is an ideal, its legacy cannot die. This ideal is the one which we seek to aid in its transformation of humankind; not an ideal behind which we can hide our bad actions, or excuse our fanatism – but the idea that we are all responsible for our fate.

THE IDEA OF CONSIDERING HUMANITY AND NATURE AS ONE IS OUR LEADER

There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come. On this recognition rests our conviction that humanity is facing a deep look in the mirror. If the world is to continue on its current route, there will be no world to talk about. We are on the verge of a spiritual revolution, urged by necessity.

No one changes the world alone, as no one doesn’t change it at all; but what you become at the cost of your mission is all that speaks when no one is left to listen. Be sure of it – we are here because we want to heal the world, not change it. Our mission is to accompany the flow of Nature, not provoke it.

How are we to change the world?

Nature is not concerned in creating a perfect individual. It is also not concerned in creating a perfect species. It is, however, concerned in creating a perfect ecosystem – or, as we would say, a perfect society. This perfect society, for Nature’s standards, is never a fixed one but an ever-evolving one.

WE CHANGE THE WORLD BY EMBODYING THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE

Given that evolution is not only a process but the purpose of a natural existence, the Dragon Lineage promotes no anxiety to reach any state of perfection. Abiding in things as they are inspires us to recognize ourselves as part of a world in constant flux. This is enough to recognize the perfection of the chaotic.

Nature had always changed the biological factors of all species through millions of years. This was altered with the appearance of humanity. Now, Nature, to alter the world – our society – creates individuals who may embody the change they are later to provoke in others. Are you ready to be one of them?

What is the Dragon Lineage not?

The Dragon Lineage is neither a religion nor a sect, for we favor no scripture more than the book of Nature and the remembrance of our own experiences. Although we recognize all religions and the truth in their teachings, we find that to identify with this or that serves the purpose of separation.

THE DRAGON LINEAGE IS NOT A RELIGION NOR A FAD

The Dragon Lineage is not a school of medicine, for we do not seek to heal thanks to new technology but by our own transformation through the guidance of tradition. In this sense, we do not override, contrast or have any conflict with the medical schools that exist in the world.

The Dragon Lineage is not a new fad, a false advertised panacea for all ills, or the feeble attempt of some people to rise to prominence by the apparent theft of Ancient Wisdom, but a necessary collective effort of the world to provide benefits from experience to survive a new, unfathomed future.

How was the Dragon Lineage created?

The Dragon Lineage was born by the integration of the various teachings that our founders received, paired with personal revelations that urged the creation of a community that would reflect the principle of evolution – that of looking to the future without forgetting the past.

IT WAS CREATED FROM THE INTEGRATION OF THE TEACHINGS RECEIVED BY ITS FOUNDERS

Although the Dragon Lineage recognizes the necessity to preserve the tools, traditions and techniques of the lineages of all Wisdom Schools from the animistic to the humanist, it is not a collection of practices combined at random, but a carefully arranged program of self-mastery that draws the best from all.

Though the Dragon Lineage makes references all religions and spiritual paths, the novel aspect of it is the manner in which it has integrated them in order to be able to present their insights to fellow seekers without the need for them to affiliate with any particular race, caste, creed or sexuality.

Is the Dragon Lineage for me?

The Dragon Lineage is a path designed in general bases for people in search for, trying to deepen, or seeking to produce benefit from a spiritual awakening. Our target audience are people who are interested in receiving spiritual education and who aim to focus in a path of healing both in the world and themselves.

THE DRAGON LINEAGE IS FOR WHOMEVER IS SEEKING TO DEEPEN THEIR SPIRITUAL AWARENESS

Although the Dragon Lineage is a path that knows no distinction or hierarchy of race, creed, or social class, its general terms are applicable to theory only, for in practice every individual is treated as they are: unique.

We believe the search for well-being is part of everyone’s journey. We know healing isn’t the same for everyone, and it shouldn’t. That’s why we provide catered resources for every person at each step of their spiritual journey, and that’s why the Dragon Lineage is a path, for it has many steps.

Is the Dragon Lineage the only way to learn mysticism?

The Dragon Lineage is not the only way for people to learn about mysticism. Though our founders have endeavored to produce a simple, logical and easy framework for the knowledge they keep, the information found within its sphere is not unique, but shares much with other schools.

EACH PERSON HAS TO DECIDE WHICH SCHOOL IS OF THEIR LIKING

There is no one way to face mysticism, the wisdom of the mysterious. There are a variety of schools that teach a diversity of practices to maintain a spectrum of views – that is all. There is neither one school, one practice, or one view that is better than any other, only those who are better suited to the individual.

Therefore, we encourage mystical practices from all and every school that is proven by the fruit of its masters’ realization. Though we are just another among many schools of wisdom, we do consider that the presentation of the various paths, in the way that we integrate them, has not been attempted before.

Who is part of the Dragon Lineage?

The Dragon Lineage is composed both by its members and its staff. Together we compose a courageous community of seekers, gathering in spiritual community, both in solitude and in numbers, in service to a more loving and healthy world.

THE DRAGON LINEAGE IS MADE FROM MEMBERS AND STAFF THAT ALIGN THEMSELVES TO ITS IDEALS

We understand that in order to be of service in the world we must be fit and healthy for such a task, so that we seek to better ourselves before we deem to correct anything. Therefore, there is no one, either as part of the members or staff, who does not put their own transformation before that of others.

In fact, we do not seek to change people at all. We only abide by and help people through the natural processes of their physical, psychic and spiritual evolution in a non-intrusive but guiding manner, providing with care and respect the teachings, courses, and practices by which we are known.

What are the influences on the Dragon Lineage?

Dragon Lineage has been nurtured by the wisdom and integration of the three main branches of all surviving spiritual schools of the world. Our founders have been initiated, in one form or another, into every mystery here presented, and have only integrated into our practices only that which they have mastered.

EASTERN CONTEMPLATION, WESTERN THEURGY AND NEW-WORLD SHAMANISM

From the Asian world the Dragon Lineage has acquired the practices of contemplation that abound in such traditions. Though absorbing teachings from Hinduism, Daoism, and Sikhism, its most prominent feature has been inherited from the practices of the Vajrayana Schools of Buddhism.

The Dragon Lineage has inherited from the West its theurgic developments, including the esoteric aspects of Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The most prominent are the synthesis of these by the Orders of whom the Knights Templar were the first, and of which the Order of the Golden Dawn and the A.A. were the last.

Finally, the Dragon Lineage has been nurtured by the New World traditions of shamanism, including those of the Native-American peoples of Canada and the United States, the survival of the Nahuatl traditions by the Mexicas, and, particularly, by the plant-medicine oriented lineages of the Andes and the Amazon.

Who were the founders’ Masters?

Though we specify this elsewhere, to mention them here would require more space that what is here granted. Instead of mentioning those who have inspired us most, it is best here to leave empty the name-calling of teachers to point to the One Master.

THOUGH WE LEARNT FROM MANY TEACHERS WE BOW TO ONE MASTER

In the Dragon Lineage we acknowledge all wisdom to come from the same source. Therefore, to make comparisons between this or that philosophy can only hurt our progress in any. This happens because, as our founders can attest, only one spiritual path can be walked at a time.

In order not to fall into the fault of comparison, the Dragon Lineage has relinquished the association with any particular religion so that people of the New Aeon can learn the stories and practices that belong to the whole world without having any conflict of interests.

Does the Dragon Lineage conceive of an opposition?

Though many in their ignorance of our commitments might disparage our work, it is important to remark that the Dragon Lineage has, recognizes, and shall create no opposition whatsoever. We neither present ourselves as the ultimate authority on the subjects we touch, nor we admit any such authority.

WE HAVE NO OPPOSITION NOR ARE WE IN THE MARKET OF DENOUNCING OTHERS

It is important to remark this, for in this day an age, as it has always been, the tendencies of sectarianism, separatism and nominalism run amok. Not only can one find any religion fighting both theologically and politically against other paths, but each tradition is even found to fight between themselves.

Thus we remain untainted by conflict, though we nourish ourselves through discussion. We recognize the value in all traditions and all religions, in all cultures and all peoples, in all races and all sexual expressions. There is no metaphysical, economic, social or political rule that we wish to impose on anybody.

Is the Dragon Lineage an endeavor of cultural appropriation?

In its loss of root and identity it has been often that the Western world denounced the work of men and women who sought to learn from the tradition of others. To promote diversity, people need to be clearly defined in their race, caste, sex or creed.

THE DRAGON LINEAGE CONCIEVES EVERY CULTURE TO BE A GIFT FOR ALL HUMANKIND

This, which has often been thought to be a good thing, only reinforces the separation between said groups, and seems to be a way for Western media to represent the world in only a given set of types. Instead of making people more genuine, this teaches them to conform to a classification.

In the Dragon Lineage we do not believe that culture is here to separate us. Culture is here to empower us. Therefore, we see all traditions as belonging to the whole world, and see no practice as barred by any measure of personal identity.

How will these teachings survive?

The Dragon Lineage owns up to the responsibility of having received the various traditions and practices their staff keep. This not only involves practicing them with care and respect, but also, eventually, transmitting them. Without such a clause, it would not be a lineage.

THE DRAGON LINEAGE TRANSMITS ITS TEACHINGS TO THOSE WHO ARE READY TO RECEIVE THEM

Most of the practices that we share are on decline, and some on the verge of extinction. Mystical practices, in the past, were transmitted in secret, mouth to mouth, from teacher to disciple in isolated communities. Their descendants are now rarely interested keeping this going except for their own benefit.

Thus it falls on us – the community as a whole, not just its founders – to keep, respect, protect, learn and bequeath the practices that have survived until our times. Today, transmission is not something filial, racial, or geographical, but it is open to whomever proves him or herself worthy of being their guardian.

Are the Dragon Lineage’s practices legal?

Spiritual training integrated with shamanic activities are carried out now in many places in the world. Although we are yet to see a resurgence of such activities like in the days of old, we must be very careful to reintroduce these teachings to a new world that, largely, still knows them not.

WE ONLY PRACTICE THE RITUALS THAT ARE PROTECTED BY THE FREEDOM OF RELIGIOUS LAW

Since few countries have legalized the practices we promote, it is important to state what is the Dragon Lineage’s function regarding those that don’t. To be clear, we do not advocate either for criminalization of substances nor their legalization.

Instead, the Dragon Lineage promotes activities that are protected under the religious freedom laws of each country we work in. Whenever a country has criminalized our practices, we advocate for the permission of them, and work in those countries that have legalized them.

What can I find in this webpage?

The Dragon Lineage’s webpage is a collective effort to promote the awakening of human awareness by advocating love for Nature, offering teachings, granting courses, organizing travels and granting the possibility to all of belonging to a community of mystics spread out on a global scale.

To remark what can one find in this Webpage is as important as what you cannot find. Not only love and openness are necessary for our wellbeing, but also the clear drawing of limits to protect the integrity of the things we respect and care for.
